Far-right activist Tommy Robinson has announced plans for another ‘Unite the Kingdom’ rally in central London.
Drawing on Christian symbols in a promotional video posted on X, Robinson said the march would represent “Four Nations. One Kingdom. Under God.”
Robinson, real name Steven Yaxley-Lennon, organised a Unite the Kingdom rally in September last year. A follow-up carol concert in December was billed as a way to “put Christ back into Christmas."
The September rally featured prayers and worship songs from a platform in Whitehall, with other far-right leaders giving speeches.
Wooden crosses, images of Christ on flags and banners declaring ‘Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life’ were held by those marching through central London.
An estimated 150,000 people took part in the September march, although the carol service only drew around 1,000 attendees.
Former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, was one of a number of Christian leaders condemning the march and use of symbols as using faith to exclude.
The protest is scheduled for 16th May, the same day as the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, a major event in the football calendar which requires a significant policing presence.
The announcement comes just days after Robinson claimed to have left the UK after being named in a list of Islamic State targets.
