Justin Bieber: 'I want to walk in the plans God has for me'

by Premier Journalist

International pop star Justin Bieber has once again opened up about his Christian faith, declaring that he seeks to "walk in the plans God has" for him. On Instagram, Bieber recalled how his values became skewed after rising to global stardom at a young age, and explained how he had to shift some of his priorities in order to start loving others well.

"I came from a small town in Stratford, Ontario Canada. I didn’t have material things and was never motivated by money or fame I just loved music," he wrote. "But as I became a teenager I let my insecurities and frustrations dictate what I put my value in. My values slowly started to change. Ego and power started to takeover and my relationships suffered because of it."

Bieber added that he desired "healthy relationships" and wants to be "motivated by truth and love".

"I want to be aware of my blind spots and learn from them!" he wrote. "I want to walk in the plans God has for me and not try and do it on my own! I want to give up my selfish desires daily so I can be a good husband and future dad! I’m grateful that I can walk with Jesus as he leads the way."

Many responded to Bieber with words of encouragement. "Well said," replied former NFL star Tom Brady. "Always learning and growing."

His mother, Pattie, simply replied: "I love you so much,"

Entertainment journalist Jason Kennedy added: "So impressed with your transparency, always rooting for you and Hailey."

Last month, Bieber got baptised alongside his wife, Hailey, while boating on a lake with their pastor, Judah Smith.
