Melissa Joan Hart's started "taking Bible study and praying"

by Hannah Tooley

The 'God's Not Dead 2' and 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' star has been speaking about her take on faith.

Melissa Joan Hart plays a persecuted Christian in the new film.

It features around high school history teacher Grace Wesley, played by Hart, who comes under fire for answering a student's question about Jesus.

Her answer lands her in court and a battle ensues.

In an interview with The Metro she spoke about how people feel talking about religion.

"I find that if you say 'Jesus', it makes people feel uncomfortable instead of feeling love and peace," she said.

"It's very unfortunate. The idea with the movie is that Jesus shouldn't be an uncomfortable name to to say."

Hart, 40, was raised a Catholic and later moved towards Presbyterianism with her Baptist husband, she said religion had "been a sort of snowball effect," in her life.
