A mobile confessional, created from a converted ambulance, has been created in the Diocese of Lafayette in Louisiana, USA.
The vehicle has been designed to bring the Sacrament of Reconciliation to the streets during the Jubilee Year of Mercy.
The Diocese has announced that the mobile confessional is a response from a challenge set by Pope Francis to encourage more confession during the special year.
Bishop Michael Jarrell told Catholicculture.org that: "I think many people miss opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation because of busy schedules so here we're trying to remove that obstacle."
The mobile confessional can be driven to anywhere and will start running in December for the feast of the Immaculate Conception and the opening day of the Jubilee Year.
