Italian police have arrested four people suspected of plotting an attack on Pope Francis.
The police, working alongside their counterparts in Kosovo, arrested four people from Kosovo according to The Local.
The four suspects were taken into custody following police raids in several Italian cities as well as in Kosovo.
Catholic Culture has reported that police described the individuals as a "highly dangerous group".
They are accused of using social media to spread jihadist ideology.
The group are also thought to have released statements celebrating the terrorist attacks in Paris
Pope Francis took up his role at the Holy See in 2013 and is the leader of millions of Catholics throughout the world.
