Filipino priest told off after service held on hoverboard

by Hannah Tooley

The unnamed Laguna priest can be seen gliding around church on a hoverboard and moving up and down aisles.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Pablo said in a statement on its Facebook page that "that was wrong."

It read: "The priest said that it was a wake up call for him; he acknowledged that his action was not right and promised that it will not happen again.

"He will be out of the parish and will spend some time to reflect on this past event.

"He would like to apologize for what happened."

The Philippines is one of largest Catholic nations in the world and the hoverboard Mass has received a mixed reaction on the internet, with some saying it shows the Catholic Church is entering into the twenty-first century and others saying it is disrespectful.
