A man who protested on the roof of the Vatican could face a criminal trial.
Marcello di Finizio has been held in one of the two police cells in the Vatican after he scaled St. Peter's Basilica to protest against laws that he claims lost him his business.
The 47-year-old has climbed onto the building five times in recent years and most recently spent the night of December 21 on the ledge above where Pope Francis was due to give his Christmas address.
Gian Piero Milano, the man in charge of prosecutions in the Vatican State, said he would formerly request that Mr di Finizio stand trial.
It's now up to a judge to decide if this should go ahead.
