US Episcopal Church leader taken to hospital

His office announced he was taken for treatment after a visitation to Bruton Parish Church in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.

He was later diagnosed with a subdural hematoma although a full recovery is expected.

He's expected to be operated on, on Tuesday.

Speaking from his hospital bed Bishop Michael said: "I'm doing fine. I will be back preaching like normal but for the next few days i'll be taking it easy but I'll be fine."

The Church has issued a prayer for Bishop Michael. It reads: "O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your servant Michael the help of your power, that his sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
