Teenage diving sensation Andrea Spendolini-Siriex's medal-winning performances at the Commonwealth Games were inspired by Bible verses.
The 17-year-old already cited one verse after her gold medal victory in the 10m women's platform diving competition; Mark 4:37-41.
She said: "Mark 4: 37-41 - Peace by still. This was the title for my competition yesterday. Peace of mind and stillness of water.
"God is good all the time and all the time God is good."
However, her second successful podium attempt was inspired by another verse; Philippians 4:13.
The verse reads: "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
Taking to Instagram following her silver medal win - this time in the 10m synchro event - Andrea said: "I've found that after a competition, 'how are you feeling' is one of the hardest question to answer.
"Luckily yesterday I could (just about) form an English sentence.
"Pure joy. Pure excitement. Pure love for you Eden Cheng. I am so proud of us for taking it 1 dive at a time and for never giving up!
"After a slight stumble on my part, I was reminded of Philippians 4:13 "We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us", and boy did we pull 5253 out the bag!
"It was, in my eyes *chef's kiss*
"Thank you Eden for being an amazing synchro partner and an even better big sister."
She has since gone on to win a third medal - a second gold - in the mixed synchro 10m event; she hasn't said which verse inspired the most recent winning performance.
The England competitor is the daughter of famous French restauranteur Fred Sirieix, best known for his appearances on First Dates.
