'Shouting' heard at home of Christian athlete Oscar Pistorius

A witness has described hearing "non-stop shouting" at Oscar Pistorius' home, shortly before his girlfriend was shot dead.

But at the Christian athlete's bail hearing in Pretoria in South Africa, he's claiming he thought there was an intruder in his bathroom, so he opened fire killing Reeva Steencamp.

Two boxes of testosterone and needles were found in his bedroom, according to South Africa Police. However his defence lawyer said this was a herbal remedy.

The athlete's murder bail hearing has also been told shots were fired downwards casting doubt on Mr Pistorius's claim that he wasn't wearing his prosthetic legs when the gun was fired.

The officer leading the investigation has told the magistrate he thinks the Paralympic gold medalist is a flight risk. Police say it was premeditated murder. Yesterday he insisted he never intended to kill her. The hearing's been adjourned until tomorrow.
