'Madman' shoots at pastor's house with child inside

by Premier Journalist

The pastor of a Tennessee church has spoken of God's supernatural protection after a "madman" allegedly shot repeatedly at his home whilst one of his children was inside.

Greg Locke, pastor of the Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Juliet near Nashville, Tennessee, said on social media that someone had "unloaded an entire magazine of bullets from an automatic weapon into our house, garage, and my truck" earlier this week.

Wilson County Sheriff's Office Captain, Scott Moore, said that the shooting was being investigated and that no one had been injured. No one has yet been arrested in connection with the incident.

Moore said that 30 to 40 shell casings were found around the house after deputies arrived at the Locke home after 10:30pm on Tuesday night.

In his post about the incident, Locke said, "only one of our kids was home and thank God, not in the same area of the house... one of the bullets cut through the headboard of our youngest daughter's bed and lodged in her pillow".

He also referenced Scripture in his response to the shooting, writing that "the only detail that matters is that Psalm 91 is true, and GOD PROTECTED US IN UNIMAGINABLE AND SUPERNATURAL WAYS".

Locke has gained some fame in the US for his online political and religious commentary. In 2016, a video he posted to Facebook - about the supermarket Target and its then-new policy of allowing men to use women's dressing rooms - went viral. He is also well-known for his outspoken opposition to abortion and Planned Parenthood, a US organisation providing sexual health care and sex education.

However, since 2023, he has taken down thousands of his Facebook videos, saying he felt that he felt he could express himself better and that he wanted to focus his comments. He wrote: "My word will be for Jesus... I'll still spit in the face of Planned Parenthood and call out baby butchers. I'm [not] going to lay down the sword. I'm just going to... specialise at who we swing it".
