Christians are being urged to pray for a US pastor and his eight-year-old daughter who nearly died in a car crash earlier this month.
On 3rd November, Pastor Nick Jones, who leads the Maranatha Baptist Church in the city of Globe, Arizona, was taking his daughter Samantha to school when a lorry collided with their car.
Both Pastor Jones and Samantha had to be airlifted to hospital. Firefighters had to cut the roof off the vehicle and smash the remaining window to rescue them.
They are currently in hospital recovering from the injuries. Pastor Jones has undergone a series of operations while Samantha is dealing with headaches that cause her stress, anxiety and pain.
Speaking to ABC Arizona, mother and wife, Laura Jones said she has been splitting her time between both hospitals.
"I sleep here at Phoenix Children's [Hospital], with Samantha. Then I head over to see Nick during the day [at Chandler Regional]. It's pretty emotionally draining."
When asked about Pastor Nick, she said the family is grateful he will be able to walk again.
"His brain is healthy, and his organs are good so we are praising God that he can talk to us and he's going to walk again."
"I feel like God has been with us," Jones continued. "In the ways that he has protected Nick's brain, his organs, and just every little thing."
Laura Jones went to ask Christians to pray that Pastor Nick "continues to heal quickly and efficiently" and that Samantha's headaches "go away and she can come home soon."
The family has set up a go fund me campaign to help with the medical bills.
