Zeeshan Masih, 14, was found hanging from a tree in August and police said he died from "natural causes".
Since then the family have been involved in a debate with officers trying to get to the bottom of the teenager's death.
Despite police assuming the child had hanged himself the family claim a post mortem found he was raped and strangled.
"We are poor and Christian, so that is why the police are brazenly denying facts - and to save the culprits," his father, Sarfaraz, 45, told World Watch Monitor.
Masih said the death of his son had caused "unbearable pain" for the family, and that it was frustrating that the police were not helping them.
Police inspector Farooq Ahmed told World Watch Monitor he "didn't know of any autopsy report saying the boy was strangled".
The boy's family have suggested a rich and wealthy Muslim could be responsible for the death and that is why police are covering it up.
Officers deny this.
