Andy Williams' church is calling for 'continued prayer' for the former Casting Crowns member after a serious motorbike accident.
Williams is currently on a ventilator after he collided with another vehicle whilst driving to church on his motorbike.
Following the accident on June 27th, the Christian drummer sustained extensive injuries to his brain and body and had to be resuscitated at the scene. Williams then underwent emergency surgery to have his leg amputated 'above the knee' the next day.
His church, Grace Chapel Church, Tennessee has called for prayer for "complete and total healing for this amazing husband, father, and music teacher."
Posting on Instagram the church said: "Let's all gather around to pray and support his family through this unbelievable trial."
The church is hoping to raise over $250,000 towards Williams' medical bills through a GoFundMe page, launched on 2nd July.
It reads: "We want to give Andy, Kelly, Aden, and Asher the financial resources they will need in the weeks and months ahead. We have set a a goal of $250,000, but we want to bless this family above and beyond so they can focus on Andy's healing!"
To date, the fundraising appeal has raised just over $44,000.
Former Casting Crowns band mates also took to social media to ask for prayer following the accident, asking people to "Pray for his wife Kelly, his two sons Asher and Aiden, and his sister Mary."
