People urged to pray for Billy Graham's granddaughter as she takes 'critical step' following double heart attack

The family of the Rev. Billy Graham are asking for further prayers for Rachel-Ruth – the late preacher’s granddaughter. 

Anne Graham Lotz – the mother of Rachel-Ruth has announced that her daughter will be attending cardiac rehab after suffering two heart attacks. 

The attacks have been described as “life-threatening” but the Evangelist mother said that “coming alongside” her daughter has been “a real joy” despite the ordeal. 

She has described her daughters entry into cardiac rehab as “a critical first step towards recovery”. 

Following her double heart attack, doctors scrambled to find answers. The family asked people to pray for Rachel-Ruth as the diagnoses was proving difficult, but prior to her release from hospital, cardiologists diagnosed Rachel-Ruth with SCAD, Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection.

In her message, Anne said: ““Thank you for continuing to pray for all of us in this faith-stretching journey.”

She continued: “Please pray for Rachel-Ruth’s restoration to full health and strength with no setbacks or complications.”

To conclude the message, she shared Psalm 28:7: ““The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me...”
