A nun working as a nurse caring for elderly people has been accused of telling an elderly patient to die.
Sister Mary Olimma allegedly told a pensioner: "Why don't you take your medication you stupid woman?"
A tribunal heard she also said: "Why don't you just die? Nobody wants you here."
She is accused of making a number of similar comments to other frail residents and was allegedly aggressive to staff members at Roseway House, a care home for dementia sufferers in Jarrow, Tyne and Wear.
The tribunal heard that she grabbed and poked someone on the arm.
Sister Mary Olimma denies misconduct on August 25th 2013 and October 18th 2014.
Healthcare assistant Louise Brennan told the hearing she was worried about the way that the nun treated patients, making comments like "you stink of urine" and "you smell too much".
The hearing continues.
