Chanen Johnson, wife of New Orleans Saints player Juwan Johnson, shared a heartfelt moment of her husband reading scripture as she recovered from childbirth.
In the video, posted on 11th Oct, Juwan can be heard reading from Proverbs 31 while Chanen holds their newborn daughter in the hospital bed.
The post had garnered over 100,000 likes.
The passage Juwan read aloud says: “Her husband also praises her. ‘Many women have done noble deeds, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward of her labor, and let her works bring her praise at the city gates.’”
Chanen captioned the video: “POV (point of view): You just gave him a babygirl & this is what he does.”
Her Instagram bio also reflects her faith with the phrase “To Him who is able,” along with praying hands emojis.
In another Instagram post from 7th Oct, shared before she gave birth, Chanen wrote: “When you’re about to have a pre-birth panic attack so he reads the word to you & speaks life over you.”
The post, showing her resting in the same hospital bed, has received over 293,000 likes.
She added, “& just like that it was my easiest birth yet,” accompanied by smiley face and prayer emojis.

Juwan, who frequently expresses his Christian faith on social media, has "Jesus over everything else" written in his X bio, and his location is listed as “God’s Direction.”
Earlier this year, Juwan opened up about his faith on the Sports Spectrum podcast. He emphasised the importance of focusing on God’s presence rather than only seeking his blessings.
“We’re always asking God for something, but sometimes we need to look at His face instead of His hand,” he explained.
