New video game I Am Jesus Christ lets players "follow the path" of the Messiah

by Heather Preston

I Am Jesus Christ gives gamers the chance to perform over 30 miracles from a first-person perspective, including healing the blind, casting out demons and calming the seas as they follow his life on earth from baptism to ascension.

Each miracle completed is accompanied by a scripture linking to the New Testament story it refers to.

Players can also pray to receive the "superpower" of the Holy Spirit, "battle Satan" in the desert and rise from the dead in the biblical simulation game by unknown developer SimulaM.

A trailer for the new game was shared by entertainment site IGN on Friday.

I Am Jesus Christ's release has not yet been announced but is said to be "coming soon" on popular gaming site Steam.
