Morgan Freeman thinks God looks like him.
The Shawshank Redemption star who played the part of God in 2003's Bruce Almighty and its sequel, Evan Almighty was recently asked by New York magazine's Vulture what he thought God looks like.
"God looks like me," replied Freeman.
"I am God. So it's easy to play him. They say God is in all things. So if God is in me, then I am in God. Therefore, I am God. God does not exist without me."
The 77-year-old Oscar winner, well known for his deep, mellow voice, also spoke candidly about his own drug use during an interview with The Daily Beast last week, calling for the legalisation of marijuana. The actor became a advocate for medicinal use of the drug after using to help with a recovery from a car crash back in 2008.
It's reported he still hasn't regained full use of his left hand and continues to experience pain as a result.

Unlike many websites we haven't put up a paywall — we want to keep our journalism free at the point of need and as open as we can. Premier’s news output takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. No one in the USA is sharing news like we are across radio, magazines and online so please help us to continue that today.
For a monthly gift of $11 or more we’d also be able to send you a free copy of the brand new Premier Bible, a wonderful Anglicised version of the NLT packed with exclusive bonus content, reading plan and resources to help you get the most out of scripture.
