Meriam Ibrahim was taken to Italy after finally being released by Sudanese authorities last week.
The mother of two met Pope Francis soon after arriving in the country.
Meriam was initially sentenced to death for apostasy in May amid claims she had abandoned the Muslim faith.
She says she was brought up a Christian when her father left the family home.
After international pressure she was released but detained again as she tried to leave Sudan.
The mother-of-two, left Italy with her husband Daniel and children Martin and Maya after a week in the capital.
It's thought the family will live in the American town of Manchester with Daniel's brother, Gabriel Wani.
