Government bid to reduce migration stalls

Net migration to the UK increased last year, despite Government efforts to cut the figure.

The Office for National Statistics show net migration, the difference between the number of people emigrating and the number of immigrants arriving in Britain is up.

Latest figures show it's risen to 176,000 - up from 153,000 people.
