The next chapter in Pinnacle Peak Pictures' controversial drama series God's Not Dead: We The People will be released for a short period on October 4-6.

God's Not Dead: We The People is the fourth in the God's Not Dead series that began in 2014. The film describes itself as a drama that "parallels current news headlines regarding the challenge against the freedom of speech and religious liberties as the fundamental right to educate children."

The next film will explore the arc of Reverend Dave, a character consistently present across all of the series, as he decides to defend the rights of religious homeschoolers. Dave, initially concerned about the interference of the federal government in private education, "is called to Washington DC to testify in a landmark congressional hearing that will determine the future of religious freedom in our country for years to come."

The film will be released as a limited-time event via cinema company Fathom Events.

The film is directed by Vance Null, who has worked on all previous versions of the series to date. It will star Isaiah Washington (Grey’s Anatomy), David A.R. White (GOD’S NOT DEAD, Evening Shade), William Forsythe (DICK TRACY), Antonio Sabato. Jr, (General Hospital, THE BIG HIT), Jeanine Pirro (FOX News Justice with Judge Jeanine), and GRAMMY award-winning CCM artist Francesca Battistelli.

While the initial God's Not Dead film was a financial success, the series has struggled to make significant box office income since. In 2014, the original film make 64.7 million dollars in the box office. God's Not Dead 2 declined significantly, making only 24.5 million. And the third was a significant loss, only making 7.4 million in total.
