Hundreds are expected to pay tribute to the singer and pastor on January 20 at West Angeles Church of God In Christ in Los Angeles.
The world famous 72 year old star died on Thursday night after complications following a heart attack.
A public viewing of the gospel legend will also be held on January 20 followed by his funeral at 11am American time on January 21.
Musicians are also expected to perform at a tribute concert for the star described as a "a true pioneer".
His twin sister Pastor Sandra Crouch said: "Today my twin brother, womb-mate and best friend went home to be with the Lord,"
"I tried to keep him here but God loved him best."
