The Christian musician, his wife and their two children escaped the blaze in Malibu with only what they could carry - following an order to evacuate.
Family friend and fellow worship leader, Kathryn Scott commented on an Instagram image showing how the property had been burned to the ground.
She said: "This was Brenton Brown's house. We love Brenton and Jude. The California fires destroyed everything they own. Imagine. Everything is gone. Ashes."
More than $5,000 has already been raised by a Gofundme page set up in support of the family on Monday.
