Bahamas Faith Ministries, the church the couple founded, described the joint funerals as a 'home going', with ten-time Grammy award winner CeCe Winans performing at the event.
Speaking just before the funeral to Premier's Marcus Jones on the News Hour, Revd Timothy Stewart who was a friend of Dr Munroe said: "We have moved from the stage of shock, to the stage of talking about his contributions; now it is time to celebrate, it is time to celebrate his home going."
Dr Munroe and his wife, Ruth, a co-pastor with him at BFM were killed along with seven other people when the plane they were travelling in crashed on approach to Grand Bahama International Airport three weeks ago.
It's reported the aircraft hit a crane and exploded late on Sunday 9 November.
Dr Richard H Pinder, a Senior Vice President and Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries Fellowship Church, was also among the dead.
It's thought they were on their way to a Global Leadership Forum, which was organised by evangelical preacher.
The couple is survived by their two children, daughter, Charisa and son, Chairo (Myles Jr.) Munroe.
Veteran pastor, David Burrows, has been selected to replace the late Dr Myles Munroe at Bahamas Faith Ministries.
