Churches in Bushey are coming together to offer support for everyone affected by the deaths of three women on Tuesday.

The wife and two daughters of racing commentator, John Hunt were victims of an apparent crossbow attack on Tuesday night.

Carol Hunt, 61, and her daughters, Hannah who was 28, and Louise who was 25, were found seriously injured at a house in Ashlyn Close in Bushey, at about 7pm and later died at the scene.

A church service, attended by more than 50 people, has been held today at St James’ Church on Bushey High Street and tomorrow evening, Friday, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church will hold a vigil at 7.30pm.

The service will also be live-streamed. The church told Premier that congregations of all denominations are working together to do whatever is needed to support the family and everyone affected by this tragedy.

Kyle Clifford, 26, is suspected of killing the women. Hertfordshire Constabulary say they were attacked with a crossbow and possibly other weapons.

Clifford went on the run and was found by police at a cemetery in Enfield on Wednesday evening. He’s being treated for injuries at a major trauma hospital in London.

Police did not say how the injuries occurred but stressed they had not fired any shots.

Flowers are being laid outside the house where the victims were found. One of their neighbours, Su Kehinde, said:

"They were the loveliest, gentlest family. They were the meekest human beings. They did not deserve this. They were beautiful souls."
