Church holds prayer vigil for missing student in Hull

The 21-year-old has not been seen since Thursday 31st January and was reported missing the following day.

On Sunday, Hull Community Church held a special prayer vigil which was attended by local people and Libby's parents, who'd travelled from their home in Buckinghamshire.

One of the leaders of the Community Church, Anne Dannerolle, told Premier: "Our invitation to the community was just to say it would be a time of reflection and we would have music and poems and candlelight, just so we would be able to think about Libby and to offer our support to the family at this horrendous time."

Dannerolle asked for prayers following Libby's disappearance: "I think just pray most of all for the family and for Libby's friends at this time that they will know comfort and that they will know the support of everybody standing with them."

Police are continuing their search for Libby close to the area where she disappeared.

Officers say a 24-year-old man arrested last Wednesday police in relation to Libby Squire's disappearance "remains under investigation".

Separately, the man, Pawel Relowicz appeared at Hull magistrates court on Monday where he was charged with voyeurism, burglary and outraging public decency.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges and was remanded in custody.

Relowicz, who spoke through a Polish interpreter, is due to appear at Hull Crown Court on 11th March.
