Turning Point USA, the organisation started by the late Charlie Kirk, has launched a “faith” filled counter to the Super Bowl’s halftime show.
Posts alleging that Turning Point wanted to combat lewd content being shown at the NFL’s major TV slot began circulating on social media this week.
The organisation, now headed by Charlie’s widow Erika Kirk, responded: “It’s true, Turning Point USA is thrilled to announce the All-American Halftime Show.”
It promises an event “celebrating faith, family and freedom”, to run on the 8th of February 2026, concurrent to Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny’s NFL headline act.

The announcement followed MAGA fury at Bad Bunny being the Halftime Show pick, with commentator Tomi Lahren claiming that the rapper had a “clear disdain for America”, after he stayed seated during ‘God Bless America’ at Yankee Stadium. House Speaker Mike Johnson claimed that it was a “terrible decision” to have the Puerto Rican perform.
Many of Bad Bunny’s lyrics are written in Spanish. He has been largely neutral on the topic of religion, yet in the song ‘Una Velita,’ sings: “Of the Holy Spirit, may God protect my song / I don't want a tarp, I want His mantle / Obviously, the light will go out, God knows it will never return… Don't forget the old lady over there who lives alone, we need to help her / Remember that we're all from here, it's up to the people to save the people.”
