A man has been indicted for the murder of Pastor William Schonemann, whose body was found on April 28th in New River, Arizona.

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell called it “a senseless act of violence that not only claims a life but devastates an entire community of faith."

The indictment links Adam Sheafe, 51, to a wider violent spree, including burglary, vehicle theft, and plans to target 14 Christian leaders.

Investigators found evidence at the pastor’s home and in a stolen truck, connecting Sheafe to the crime, as reported by Hoodline.

Sheafe faces charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and kidnapping.

A grand jury’s decision sets the stage for a closely watched trial as the New River community mourns a beloved leader.
