He's backed the 'Show Up' campaign which is "encouraging Christians to get off the side lines and on to the pitch of political life".
Almost 40 Christian organisations and church networks have come together for the project which was created in response to the growing disillusionment many voters feel towards politics in the UK.
The campaign is urging Christians to make sure they're registered to vote on National Voter Registration Day.
Christians in Politics Events & Communications Manager, Mark Scott, said that "at a time when we're constantly being reminded how disillusioned we are with politics, it is remarkable the support this campaign has got, capturing the imagination of MPs, Churches and Christian organisations all over the UK".
Archbishop Justin Welby said: "The important work of Christians in Politics and the 'Show Up' campaign in the run up to the General Election, is challenging and encouraging in equal measure."
