The Most Rev Justin Welby will lead prayers at the biannual Festival of Life celebration.
It has been organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), one of Britain's fastest-growing denominations.
The archbishop is the special guest at the event, which will focus on Church unity.
It is being held at ExCeL London in Newham.
Pastor Agu Irukwu, head of the RCCG in Britain, said: "We are looking forward to the Archbishop of Canterbury joining us at our biannual Festival of Life in October.
"During this service we will be praying for spiritual revival, and some of the major issues affecting the UK and the international community.
"A major focus of our prayers at Festival of Life is for the unity of the Church, we are therefore very excited to have the Archbishop of Canterbury and the other bishops of the Church of England and various leaders of other denominations join us at this event."
Associate director at Hope Together, Rev Yemi Adedeji, who is an Anglican priest and an acknowledged minister with RCCG, said: "Over the years the Festival of Life has hosted a number of prominent Christian and civic leaders. I felt it would be a good thing for RCCG to have the Archbishop of Canterbury attend Festival of Life.
"I believe his presence will spread a positive message of unity throughout the UK that British Christians irrespective of racial, cultural or denominational background can worship and pray together."
