Airline to retire mark of the beast flight

by Tola Mbakwe

The Finnair flight has flown passengers from Copenhagen (CPH) to Helsinki (HEL) for the past 11 years.

The company has now renamed the flight as AY954, and will make the change official on 29th October.

However, a spokesperson Finnair said the change has nothing to do with superstitious passengers.

He told The Independent: "We are a growing airline and we are reorganising our flight numbers to make room for additional flight numbers to be used."

The last Flight AY666 will fly on 27th October, but many took to Twitter on Friday marking the last time the flight would operate on a Friday 13th.

The number 666 is known by Christians as the mark of the beast and is used to identify the antichrist in the Book of Revelation.

Revelation 13:18 says:"Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six,"
