85% of parents guilty about lack of time spent with kids

by Hannah Tooley

The research from Wacky Warehouse found parents on average spend one day a week playing with their children, with a lack of money and stress being the main factors.

When parents found the time 30% said that they found play with their families rewarding and 20% called it fun.

Rachel Waddilove told Premier: "Pray that the parents will feel calm and this guilt will go, and they'll be able to look at parenting in a different light and within that it's loving their children, and then having the lines of communication open so that their children can always feel free and open to talk to their parents."

Facts and figures:

Speaking to Premier Christian Radio Rachel Waddilove said: "Pray that the parents will feel calm and this guilt will go, and they'll be able to look at parenting in a different light and within that it's loving their children, and then having the lines of communication open so that their children can always feel free and open to talk to their parents.

"Prayer is huge and I think we do need to pray for the families of today, many are very stressed and under huge pressure, whether it's financial pressure or breakdown in family life, pray that parents will feel calm and this guilt will go."
