Zimbabwean preacher arrested for predicting Mugabe's death

Pastor Patrick Mugadza was arrested in Harare outside the Magistrate's Court - where he was due to stand trial for wearing Zimbabwe's national flag without permission last November - and taken away by authorities.

The pastor had prophesied at a press conference last week that the Zimbabwean leader, who will turn 93 next month, will 'take his last breath' on 17 October 2017 unless he prays for forgiveness.

Gift Mtisi of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights told local media that he'd been charged with undermining the authority of the president.

Pastor Mugadza was also arrested in December 2015 for staging a one man protest against Mugabe at Victoria Falls.

Last month, President Mugabe confirmed he will be running to the country's election in 2018.
