Just days after reality TV personality Joseph Duggar was arrested on charges related to lewd and lascivious behavior against a child under 12, his wife is now facing charges related to child abuse.
Arkansas police have arrested Kendra Duggar and she was charged with four misdemeanor counts, each of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree false imprisonment, according to The Guardian,
The Duggars' are a well-known Christian family known for being featured on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting. The show was canceled in 2015 after the Duggars’ oldest son, Joshua, faced allegations of molesting four of his sisters as a teenager. He is currently serving a 12-and-a-half-year sentence in federal prison for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.
Joseph is the Duggars’ seventh-oldest. He reportedly met Kendra at church and later married her in 2017 when he was 23, and she was 19.
While Kendra faces child abuse charges, Joseph is accused of molesting a girl when she was only nine years old during a family trip to Panama City Beach.
“On March 18, 2026, Bay County investigators were contacted by a detective with the Tontitown Police Department regarding a report of past sexual abuse,” the Bay County Sheriff's Office said. “The 14-year-old victim participated in a forensic interview, where she disclosed several incidents involving Duggar that occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach when she was 9-years-old.”
According to the investigation, the incidents took place in 2020. The victim stated Duggar eventually apologized for his actions, and the incidents stopped after the apology.
Investigators said that the victim’s father confronted Duggar about these incidents on March 17th, 2026, and that Duggar admitted his actions to the victim’s father and to Tontitown Detectives.
Duggar was arrested out of state, charged, and is currently awaiting extradition to Bay County.
As for Kendra, her charges are unrelated to the ones Joseph is facing in Florida. The couple has four children together, ranging in ages three to seven.
