Watch: Las Vegas church vigil goes viral

More than 3,500 people packed into Canyon Ridge Christian Church for the service to remember the 58 people who lost their lives.

Writing on Facebook afterwards, Tami Poe said: "Canyon Ridge, thank you all for putting this service together so quickly. It was beautiful and well need[ed]. I came straight from work... thank you helping refill my tank."

Footage of the event spread rapidly through the internet, attracting nearly 400,000 views on Facebook and more than 12,500 people shared it onto their personal profile pages.

Another Facebook user, Cindy Hubbert said: "It was an amazing, beautiful, heartfelt service filled with comfort, love & light.
"Thank you for bringing us together and reaching out to our hurting city."

The video showed an auditorium full of people holding candles and singing along to the words, written by English Anglican clergyman John Newton.

Frank Giangiulio wrote on Facebook: "That was so beautiful and my Heart goes out to all those people hurt and have family members hurt or have died such a tragic death!"

Meanwhile, Marilou Danley the girlfriend of Stephen Paddock - the gunman - has been quizzed by the FBI, when she insisted she had no idea he was planning mass murder.
