A video has been posted online showing Islamic State militants blowing up an ancient Assyrian city in Iraq.
The pictures confirm reports last month that claimed the extremists had destroyed Nimrud.
The city is one of Iraq's greatest archaeological treasures and was home to many sculptures and statues.
In the video IS fighters are shown bulldozing buildings including churches before planting explosives in the ruins.
Images then show the remains of the city being blown up.
IS militants have forced tens of thousands of Christians to flee their homes in Iraq and Syria as they take over large parts of each country.
