Video showing Jesus statue 'opening eyes' goes viral
by Hannah Tooley
Footage taken on a mobile phone in Mexico appearing to show a state of Jesus 'opening his eyes' in a church has been viewed online tens of thousands of times.
The video was taken at the Chapel of Saltillo in Mexico's Coahuila de Zaragoza state and posted online earlier this week.
It has been met with mixed reaction, with some claiming it to be a miracle.
Others have gone online to show how the clip may have been digitally altered to create the effect.
The footage was captured during a church service in June, according to The Daily Mail, however the video maker has only uploaded it recently on a website that records paranormal activity.
Reports from Mexico claim that the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saltillo has said it will not watch the video.
