The Vicar of Dibley could be returning and Dawn French has hinted that her character Revd Geraldine Granger might be taking up a new role as a bishop.
The 58-year-old told The Daily Mirror that women bishops are part of modern society: "We now have church law in the UK that could be bishops, so who knows?
"Watch this space she might get a promotion."
The BBC series ran for around 13 years and more than 12 million viewers watched the final episode in 2007 when Revd Geraldine got married.
Dawn French has told fans that it would be difficult to go back to the original format though: "Our old guys are really old now, so I don't think we could revisit it, because it's just too different.
"But it could change."
The comedy show has won three British Comedy Awards and a National Television Award.
