Veteran evangelist Reinhard Bonnke holds last crusade

He spoke for five nights in Lagos, Nigeria to crowds of more than two million people.

The 77 year old has held gospel crusades across Africa for fifty years.

He said he had faced opposition in that time but had always kept going.

"This determination to go from Capetown to Cairo would never leave me no matter what happened," he said.

Bonnke said there had been many highlights and he described preaching at an event about two years ago when a mother came forward with her three children who were all blind. He prayed for them in Jesus' name and in the same instant, all three regained their sight.

He said he would be handing on the ministry to others and hoped that Africans would play a major part in evangelising their own continent going forward.
