The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood's list of 14 beliefs, referred to as the Nashville Statement, proclaims that marriage is between one man and one woman and "homosexual immorality" is sinful.
According to the coalition's statement, their manifesto comes as "Western culture has become increasingly post-Christian... it has embarked upon a massive revision of what it means to be a human being".
The statement says: "We are persuaded that faithfulness in our generation means declaring once again the true story of the world and of our place in it-particularly as male and female.
"We did not make ourselves. We are not our own. Our true identity, as male and female persons, is given by God. It is not only foolish, but hopeless, to try to make ourselves what God did not create us to be."

John Piper, co-founder of The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, called the Nashville Statement a "Christian manifesto" on human sexuality.
He said: "It speaks with forthright clarity, biblical conviction, gospel compassion, cultural relevance, and practical helpfulness.
"It will prove to be, I believe, enormously helpful for thousands of pastors and leaders hoping to give wise, biblical, and gracious guidance to their people."
Each of the Nashville Statement's 14 beliefs include a statement the signers affirm and one they deny.
While the group "affirm that God has designed marriage to be a covenantal, sexual, procreative, lifelong union of one man and one woman, as husband and wife, and is meant to signify the covenant love between Christ and his bride the church", they "deny that God has designed marriage to be a homosexual, polygamous, or polyamorous relationship".
They also "deny that marriage is a mere human contract rather than a covenant made before God".
