The White House Press Secretary has said she witnessed “spiritual warfare” during Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, describing it as a battle against “evil forces”.
In a recent interview with CBN, Karoline Leavitt, 27, reflected on the intensity of the past year as she balanced her high-pressure role in the White House with the responsibilities of being a new mother – all while leaning on her faith.
“I certainly believe in spiritual warfare,” she said. “And I think I saw it first-hand, especially throughout the campaign trail with President Trump. And I think there certainly were evil forces.”
Leavitt pointed to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump as a moment that underlined her belief in divine protection: “I think that the president was saved by the grace of God on 13th July in Butler, Pennsylvania, and he’s in this moment for a reason.”
Known for her sharp exchanges with mainstream media, Leavitt has become a celebrated figure among Trump supporters.
Her memorable quip to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins “You’re a reporter, you should find out", is one of many soundbites now circulating online.
She has also spoken about being a dedicated mother, admitting to a “sense of guilt” about time spent away from her baby son, Niko.
“Saying no when you have to say no to take care of your family is something I’ve had to learn the hard way in a very short amount of time,” she shared. “I try to make it home for bedtime during the week.”
