Thousands of worshippers gathered at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium on Saturday for a major prayer conference led by Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze.
The NSPPD UK Prayer Conference, organised by Streams of Joy International, brought Christians from across the UK and beyond together for a day of prayer, worship and declarations.
The free event, which required advance registration, saw large crowds fill the 74,000-capacity stadium. Gospel artists including Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, Sunmisola Agbebi and Kaestrings also performed during the gathering.
Eze is the founder and convener of New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), a daily online prayer platform which attracts a global audience. He also leads Streams of Joy International, with churches and ministry expressions in Nigeria, the UK, US and Canada.
The Manchester gathering follows major NSPPD conferences in London, including an estimated 80,000 people who attended a prayer event at Twickenham Stadium in 2024.
NSPPD followers regularly share testimonies of answered prayers and miraculous healings.
After Saturday’s conference, Pastor Eze posted an emotional message on Instagram, writing: “Thank You Jesus” and “Lord You and I know that YOU DID IT ALL JESUS!”
“My Heart is full…These Tears…This boy you keep helping,” he wrote, describing the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference simply as “SPEECHLESS”.
