Thousands of Christians gathered in Belfast for the annual March for Jesus, walking from Ormeau Embankment to City Hall in a non-denominational, family-friendly celebration.
Organisers from All Nations Church had anticipated around 5,000 attendees, with the event featuring music from Brian Houston and speakers from various churches.
Participants expressed joy at the turnout. Edith, who travelled from Dublin, told the BBC she was “really surprised” by the number of people at the parade, while Chano from Moira added, “I think it’s a brilliant idea, and it’s community at the end of the day.”
Others praised the gathering as an opportunity to connect with like-minded believers and celebrate faith in a challenging world.
One user on X posted that it was an "iconic day", and said "Never imagined I could have personally witnessed this!".
Michelle Barden from Newry commented: “We don’t have religion, we just have relationship,” and Fiona Bennett from Larne said she “would absolutely love” to see more events like this.
Despite city centre traffic diversions, the march successfully brought together the community to lift up the name of Jesus, part of a global series of March for Jesus celebrations.
