It’s been announced Rev Franklin Graham will be back in London next year for the God Loves You Tour. It will be his third time around preaching the gospel at ExCel London for the tour.
Rev Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), has expressed excitement to share a “message of hope” in the capital as he sees a “hunger” and “need” for it.
"London is an extremely influential and important city, and every time I’m here it feels like we’re barely scratching the surface,” he said.
“This is why we are bringing the God Loves You Tour back to London for a third time. There is such a need and hunger for the Gospel in this global city. The simple message of God’s love for the people of the UK is just as relevant now as it has ever been”.
BGEA said hundreds of churches in London are preparing for the large mission event like they did in 2022 and 2023.
Leading up to the London tour stop in 2025, the BGEA will provide training sessions for those who want to learn more about how to evangelise.The ‘Christian Life and Witness’ courses will be free and held in multiple locations.
“We are grateful to all of the churches here that are doing the important work of evangelism, and it is an honour to come alongside them and support them” Rev Graham said.
The family-friendly event, which will feature live music and a sermon will be held on 21st June, 2025.
Before then, the God Loves You UK Tour will be making stops this year in Birmingham on 15th June at Resorts World Arena and Glasgow on 22nd June at Ovo Hydro.
In August 2023, a ban on Rev Graham’s right to speak at UK venues was overturned.
The National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham initially cancelled his tour in June 2020 after many venues around the country banned him from preaching, claiming his stance on homosexuality was homophobic.
The evangelist has always denied such claims, stating that he doesn’t hate anyone.
The BGEA took legal action on the grounds of freedom of speech and freedom of religion and successfully overturned six challenges by UK venues.
