The Rock Faith Center in El Paso, Texas, is mourning the loss of their associate pastor, who died after a hit-and-run motorcycle crash on 4th June.
Jason Owens, 49, was struck by a Mercedes whose driver failed to stop at a sign.
The driver has not yet been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing, as reported by The Roy's Report.
In a heartfelt statement, church leaders called Owens “a cherished friend and a vital part of our church family,” adding: “His unwavering faith, compassion, and love for the Lord touched the lives of everyone he encountered.”
Quoting 2 Timothy 4:7, the church honoured his legacy: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Pastor Owens was deeply involved in mentoring youth, working with Child Protective Services, and supporting the military community near Fort Bliss.
He was known not only for his ministry but also for his love of motorcycles and his Philadelphia Eagles fandom.
The church has asked for prayers of peace for his family and all who loved him.
