Bishop T.D. Jakes has spoken out against online rumours linking him to parties hosted by embattled rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing trial in New York on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

The 68-year-old megachurch pastor addressed the claims during a public appearance at the Good Soil Forum in Dallas, Texas, after unverified posts and AI-generated images began circulating on social media.

Jakes confirmed he had briefly visited Combs’s home, but only during daylight hours to offer birthday wishes, as reported by The Independent.

He explained: “I stopped by Puffy’s house for 30 minutes to say happy birthday to him during the day at two o’clock with staff people.”

The pastor also pushed back against speculation about a personal connection to the rapper, saying: “I am almost 70 years old. What do I look like? I am a grandfather.”

Jakes, who recently passed leadership of The Potter’s House church in Dallas to his daughter Sarah Jakes Roberts and son-in-law Toure Roberts, continues to draw attention as a major voice in the Christian world.

In late 2024, he suffered a health scare during a live Sunday sermon, prompting concern from his congregation.

His family later confirmed he was recovering well and remained under medical care. Toure Roberts said at the time: “He’s the strong Bishop that we know. We really can’t thank you enough for your prayers.”
