Half of religious people in the UK are in favour of gay marriage according to a new Yougov poll.
The study's also found that Muslims and Baptists are the most opposed to the government's plan.
However, Professor Linda Woodhead from the Westminster Faith Debate which commissioned the poll has told Premier the gap between Christians is widening:
