Somerset villagers urges to evacuate over flooding

Police are urging people in three Somerset villages to evacuate their homes after a severe flood warning, meaning there's a risk to life was issued.

It comes as the Prime Minister's pledged an extra 100 million pounds of government money for flood defence work.

Nine warnings are in force in south and south-west England - following a new round of storms in the last 24 hours.

Cawsand Congregational Church in Cornwall is on the seafront in an area heavily battered by the recent storms.

Its minister, Revd Jill Murray told Premier's News Hour by 6.30am this morning it was overwhelming:
