Singer songwriter and former partner of Elon Musk, Grimes, has professed an interest in the Christian faith in a bid to stop vaping.
Posting on X, the platform owned by Musk, with whom she shares three children, she described her newfound interest in faith as “monumentally embarrassing”.
“There really is something in [Christianity] that at least speaks to me and what is strange is I never truly needed it until I had to stop myself from doing something destructive.
“This has rly been sending me into a philosophical tailspin,” she wrote.
“I have never ever ever had my mind even remotely accessible to religion.”
Her post featured an excerpt of CS Lewis’ Mere Christianity, which reads: “Every time you make a choice you are turning the central part of you into something a little different than it was before… either into a creature that is in harmony with God, and with nature, and with other creatures, and with itself or into one that is in a state of war with God.”
It is so monumentally embarrassing that I am finally getting into Christianity because it's the only way I can quit vaping.
